Getting started

Step 1 — Get a wallet address

Create an address for the coin you will mine. SoloBit pays that address after blocks mature (100 confirmations).

• BTC — 1…, 3…, or bc1…
• BCH — CashAddr (bitcoincash:q…) or legacy
• DGB — D… or dgb1…
• HOBC — hobc1…

Use a wallet you control. Exchange deposit addresses sometimes work, but a personal wallet is safer for mining payouts.

Step 2 — Pick Solo or FairShare

Solo (1%): you earn a block only when your worker finds it. High upside, high variance — good when you want full block rewards.

FairShare (0%): when the pool finds a block, rewards split 29% finder (hours-weighted) · 5% loyalty · 66% PPLNS over a 7-day window. Steadier for smaller hashrate.

Step 3 — Choose Low / Med / High port

Each pool family has three stratum ports so small and large miners can share cleanly:

• Low (61xx) — hobby / Bitaxe-class hashrate
• Med (60xx) — typical home / small farm
• High (62xx) — larger ASICs / multi-rig racks

Run Smart Connect to measure your hashrate and get the recommended port plus a d=DIFF password hint. Probe port 9876 is discovery only — mining always uses the recommended pool port.

Step 4 — Configure your miner

Any stratum miner works (Braiins OS, Awesome Miner, VNish, stock Antminer/Whatsminer UI, Bitaxe / ESP-miner, cgminer forks):

The part before the first dot is your payout address. After the dot is a label for you (e.g. rig1, bitaxe).

Step 5 — Confirm first share

Open the pool dashboard. Your worker should appear within seconds with rising accepted shares. You can also use Miner Lookup with your address.

• Accepted shares climbing → you are mining correctly
• Many rejects → wrong coin/port, bad difficulty, or high latency
• Offline → check firewall (outbound TCP to the port) and worker spelling

Step 6 — Payouts & alerts

When a block is found, payouts process after 100 confirmations. Details: payment rules.

Optional: set block alerts, claim an alias for the leaderboard, and join Unity Rewards for points.
