FAQ
Common questions about SoloBit Miners pools, ports, fees, and payouts.
What coins do you support?
BTC, BCH, DGB (SHA-256d), and HOBC (SHA race). Each coin has Solo and FairShare families with Low / Med / High difficulty ports on solobitminers.com.
What are the fees?
Solo: 1%. FairShare: 0%. Affiliate referrers earn 1% of referred block credits. Payouts mature after 100 confirmations.
What is FairShare?
When the FairShare pool finds a block, rewards split: 29% finder (hours-weighted) · 5% loyalty · 66% PPLNS in a 7-day window. See payments.
What is Solo?
Your worker keeps the block it finds (minus 1% pool fee). Shares prove you are mining but do not earn unless you find the block.
What is Smart Connect?
A probe on port 9876 that estimates hashrate and suggests a Low / Med / High mining port plus password hint d=DIFF. It is not an extra mining port — mine on the recommended pool port.
How many ports are there?
Three tiers per pool family: Low (61xx), Med (60xx), High (62xx). See the full list on getting started. Legacy btc-pplns / bch-pplns URLs redirect to FairShare.
How do I set my worker name?
YOUR_ADDRESS.worker1 — everything before the first dot is the payout address. After the dot is a label for your dashboard and leaderboard.
When do I get paid?
After a block is found and reaches 100 confirmations. Solo pays the finder (minus fee). FairShare distributes per the 29/5/66 rules. Details: payment rules.
Why is DigiByte network difficulty huge on the site?
DigiByte is multi-algo. SoloBit mines SHA-256d, so we show SHA-256d difficulty and hashrate — not the tip algo (often scrypt), which looks much smaller.
Does HOBC support KawPow / RandomX here?
SoloBit HOBC pools are SHA-256 for the Tri-PoW race. Point SHA hardware at the HOBC ports; GPU/RandomX should use other HobbyHash endpoints if available.
Why are my shares rejected?
Common causes: wrong coin/port, difficulty too high for your hashrate, high latency/stales, or a bad worker string. Try Smart Connect’s d=DIFF or a Low port.
My hashrate looks wrong
1-minute hashrate needs about a minute of accepted shares. After a stats restart, charts refill from persisted samples. Check both 1m and 5m on the pool page.
Can I mine with a Bitaxe?
Yes. Use a Low port for most single boards, worker ADDRESS.axe1, password x. Smart Connect helps pick the tier.
Are payout addresses shown publicly?
No. Public tables show worker suffixes, aliases, or masked labels. Full address dashboards require looking up an address you already know on /miner/.
What is the leaderboard?
A live ranking of top hashrate, best shares, recent finders, and pool power. Open /leaderboard/. Claim an alias on Identities.
How do affiliates work?
Share https://solobitminers.com/?ref=YOURCODE. You earn 1% of referred miners’ block-hit credits. Register on the affiliate page.
Do you have SMS / email block alerts?
Yes — block alerts with email double opt-in and optional SMS after phone verify.
Is there a minimum payout?
Payouts follow each coin’s maturity and the pool’s payment scripts. FairShare and Solo both wait for 100 confirmations before send. See payments for scheme details.
Which region / latency?
The stratum host is solobitminers.com. Lower latency usually means fewer stale shares — pick the geographically closer path if you use a VPN or relay.
